She is the founder of a youth organization Inspire Dose, which works at the intersection of mental health and spirituality. About the Speaker - Vaishnavi Jaiswal is a 16-year-old, social entrepreneur, innovator, and gender-equality activist passionate about leveraging science and technology to create social change, based in, Gorakhpur, India. Aiming to end gender barriers and stereotypes in male-dominated career fields, she founded a non-profit, Salubrious, to empower, encourage and educate women to pursue their dreams, reaching over 50,000+ women across 45+ countries so far. Passionate to solve real-world problems using STEM, she has invented devices promoting sustainability, technology, and clean energy. Vaishnavi is a 2022 Global Teen Leader and is also recognized by the late Princess Diana of Wales with the Diana Award, as well as the 41st President of the United States with the George HW Bush Point of Light Award, for her work with Salubrious, empowering and educating women around the world. She is currently working on her social venture, STEAM Forward, and doing projects with UNICEF & UN Women, educating young people through her change-making and innovation journey to inspire students to tackle the world’s greatest problems through leadership, creativity, and innovation.

About the speaker- Jeeva Senthilnathan is a young Indian American who ran for office in Parker, Colorado at the age of 18. Senthilnathan was born in Chicago but was brought up in one of the most conservative counties in the state of Colorado, Douglas County. Jeeva is remarkably known for her activism in climate change, mental health, and teacher pay alongside the policies she has helped passed in gun safety with State Representative Tom Sullivan. Jeeva will be an incoming junior at Colorado School Of Mines, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She currently is pursuing research in balance control strategies for balance therapy with gesture-controlled rehabilitation robots and is also running her organization Privando to help solve the India’s rape crisis for women through education, legislation, and technology. Jeeva has received multiple national recognitions from becoming a 2021 Global Teen Leader from Nile Rodger’s We Are Family Foundation, a 2021 Diana Awardee from Princess Diana in the UK, 2020 Presidential Volunteer Service Awardee, and has also been voted in as a DNC Delegate for Senator Bernie Sanders in 2020. Jeeva pursued dual enrollment as an affordable option for her education in Douglas County, and received her associate’s degree from Arapahoe Community College alongside her high school diploma. Her dream career is to become a congresswoman in the U.S House Of Representatives.

About the Speaker - Hi I'm Dwishojoyee Banerjee, a young girl from Patna, Bihar, currently residing in Delhi. My changemaking journey must've taken roots when at the age of 4 I questioned my father why is the soap "life buoy" named as life buoy( misreading it as boy) and not life human. From then on, I've voyaged as a volunteer throughout my school life. When I was 10, I started teaching kids in my parents' organisation, Kahaanighar. That experience has taught me that social work, for me, isn't the cherry on my cake, it is the very core of the cake. And so I've baked and iced the different layers at different stages of my life. The "now" layer is me building my organisation, "The Soft movement" to change the relationship people have with activism. Ours is an organisation focusing on ground level impact for climate action instead of keeping at raising awareness. That's why I named it "the soft movement", a movement that may be soft, that won't scream shouts of change, that won't create convulsion, but would make the change happen, a slow, sustainable and permanent change. The Paperbag project, by the soft movement, enables school students to come together to upcycle newspapers and make paperbags for distributing it free of cost to small vendorsoke flower sellers in India, who haven't been able able switch to sustainable alternatives despite the ban on single use plastic bags. So far we've reached over 5000 students in 17 cities via our 30 member team and have replaced 10,000+ single use plastic bags (jan 2022- August 2022).

About the Speaker-Nikita Dhawan is a Grade 11 student at the American Embassy School in New Delhi. She has always been passionate about animal rights and environmental conservation and is the founder of an animal welfare initiative called "Youth for Animals.” Nikita is leading the organization’s flagship campaign #FreeShankarDelhiZoo to free Shankar, an African elephant languishing in the Delhi Zoo, from his life in solitary captivity. Nikita has filed a legal petition in the Delhi High Court for Shankar’s freedom and has received almost 200,000 signatures for her online petition. The campaign has been covered extensively by Indian and International media, including BBC, ABC News, Newsweek, Financial Times, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Indian Express etc. Nikita is a recipient of the prestigious Diana Award and the Youth Award from the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organization (FIAPO). Nikita is also a Youth Ambassador for Born Free Foundation and Earthday.Org and one of the youngest members of IUCN’s Commission on Education and Communication (CEC).

She is the founder and CEO of Care for Animals, a nonprofit organization that raise awareness for endangered species and the environment. She was invited to be the guest speaker for IntrepidMuseum’s 2nd annual Virtual Youth Summit with over 250 attendees. She is also the third prize award winner of 2021 MAP International Music Competition.

About the Speaker- Hi, my name is Areefa Ali. I am 23 years old. Pursuing my post-graduation degree in environmental science. I did my bachelor's degree in biology and started my journey working as a social worker at the age of 19. I joined NCC and was a part of the National cadet corp from 2017 to 2020, I also got awarded as the second-best cadet Ncc Naval S.W Udaipur group in 2019. I love to do work for social welfare and I volunteered in different organizations for social causes along with my studies.I worked as a volunteer with the Government of India for the Clean India mission (swachh Bharat summer internship 2019 I secured first position district-level award) and also got an opportunity to serve as a virtual Saksham Bitiya Abhiyan Intern 2021 programme in Begusarai district of Bihar state in India??, NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation collaborated for Saksham Bitiya Abhiyan to empower girls. I am a social worker, SDG activist, greenie environmentalist and a hard worker who is keen to learn and develop new skills. I have a great interest in Climate conservation, humanitarianism and human rights. My other interests include science, arts and culture. She has an organisation called Break.The.Ice where they try to discuss taboo topics and literally break the ice! Palakh has also served as the Youngest mentor and panelist for the Business Blasters program, a govt. of Delhi initiative. She is a Harvard Innovation fellow, also working with GirlUp India as a cohort member.

About the Speaker- Cherry Sung from South Korea is a freshman at an IB school called Chadwick International and a youth environmental activist. She is the winner of the 2020 Global Social Leaders Global Goals Competition and one of the 2021 International Young Eco Heroes. She founded Greener is Cleaner, a youth-led organization fueled by "people-power" that leads by example to empower youth worldwide to take action for the environment and thus their futures. Cherry wishes that her initiatives at Greener is Cleaner help share what she has learned from her journey of climate advocacy.

About the Speaker- I'm a social and climate youth activist, who has taken part in many programs, and organizations seeking change and serving the SDGs, speaking out for youth and justice, and the importance of having youth involved in decisions and policy-making when advocating for change. I do live in a community where youth ideas, proposals, and actions are not so welcomed, which is why I tried to take actions to present youth voice in the table of discussions, representing my country at both national and international levels, believing that our voice can never be impersonated if we were not the ones addressing it. I'm an SDSN fellow, the contact point of the Human rights working group at YOUNGO, a UNEPMGCY member, the founder of the Together for Blue & Green initiative, where we do insist on valuing the blue and the green by taking some simple actions such as clean up sessions within the oceans and seas, planting trees in rural or burned areas after well mending the soil, in addition, to holding weekly workshops where we do introduce people to environmentalists and climate activists from all over the world and familiarise them with green business and impactful change-making stories.
