In this solo episode I talk about challenging toxic narratives. Our lives are shaped by social conditioning that shapes how we see ourselves and our bodies. But these beliefs—the heavy sacks of negativity we carry—are not our own. They are imposed on us by society, family, media, and sometimes even those we love.
For years, I carried these burdens, which did nothing but shrink my sense of self-worth and potential. I invite you to reflect on the internalized beliefs that you continue to carry and that it does not serve you. It's time we lay down these heavy sacks and walk unburdened.
It takes immense courage and emotional energy to challenge the internalized narratives that hold us back. It's not easy but it's not impossible. Tu puedes! Si se puede!
Shoutout to my former body liberation coach Dane Reál @themultidimensionalmami who was instrumental in my healing journey.

In this solo episode I focus on the fear of failure, rejection, and the unknown. I share personal experiences and insightful reflections to empower listeners to confront their fears and embrace their potential. I acknowledge the impact of institutionalized barriers and systemic inequalities, particularly for BIPOC folks, highlighting the unique challenges they face in navigating fears and limitations imposed by societal norms.
I share a poem by Marianne Williamson, which encapsulates the essence of embracing fear and stepping into one's power. The message emphasizes that embracing one's brilliance and capabilities has a ripple effect, igniting liberation and empowerment in others. It underscores the interconnectedness of personal growth and societal impact, highlighting the transformative influence of confronting fear and overcoming obstacles.

In this solo episode I talk about the importance of celebrating yourself no matte how small or big your accomplishments. We are not taught to celebrate our accomplishments and when we do we are either silenced, shamed, or made to feel bad.
I invite you to acknowledge your achievements both personal and external, your strengths, and uniqueness. Take the time to honor and appreciate yourself. It involves recognizing your worth, accomplishments, and qualities that make you special. Don't forget that you are worthy and deserving of recognition but you have to give it to yourself first and foremost.

Formerly undocumented, she is the daughter of campesinas and day laborers. She comes from an uninterrupted lineage of birthkeepers and homebirth. She is the mother of three, the last two were born gently at home in the water.
