Let your eyes gently close
And your body fall into softness.
Find a comfortable repose
In your bed, your soothing fortress.
LONG PAUSE
As you draw in a breath,
Shift the focus to you,
Knowing itโs time to rest
And let your body renew.

Sometimes, your days may feel hard,
When youโve put your heart into work
And it doesnโt feel youโve gone far,
You may question your worth.

Other times, you may pushย
just like a machine,
Feeling disconnected and unappreciated,
As well as lost and unseen.

So now, take just a minute,
To let go of those thoughts.
Send them away in balloons

The intention of todayโs meditation is to lull you into the quiet, welcoming clouds of sleep.ย
So Letโs Beginโฆ
Allow yourself to settle,
Snuggling into your favorite sleeping position,ย
And close your eyes.ย ย
Take a deep breath in, letting your body expand with fresh air,
And exhale, allowing your body to melt deeper into comfort.ย ย
Itโs time to rest, beautiful.ย ย
Thereโs nowhere you need to be, nothing you need to do.
So come with me into dreamland.ย ย
PAUSEโฆ
Feel the heaviness of your eyes.
Feel your cheeks soften,ย
Dropping your tongue from the roof of your mouth as your jaw releases.ย
Let your shoulders soften and lower,ย
Let your arms feel heavy,
Your fingers melt.ย ย
Feel your chest rising and falling as you breathe in just a little longer, and exhale just a little more.ย
Relax your stomach,
Let your legs let go and get heavier with relaxation.ย ย
Let your feel release.
And feel the cool air on your nose as you breathe in,
And the warm air on your nose as you breathe out.ย
Breathe,
Just breathe.ย ย
PAUSEโฆ
Now imagine that thereโs a soft, blue energy floating above you.ย Like a soothing cloud of mist, this soft blue energy hovers above you.ย You feel safe and calm, so you invite it in.ย ย
Now imagine that soft, blue energy pouring over your head slowly.ย You immediately feel it soften you, relax you, nourish you...release you.ย Feel the soft, blue energy on your head, relaxing your face, your shoulders, your chest.ย
Melting your arms, fingers, stomach, hips, thighs, legs and toes.ย ย
Imagine the soft, blue energy is now at your feet, patiently waiting.ย
As you breathe in, let your breath search for any areas of unrest, any thoughts or discomforts that may be keeping you awake.ย ย
Let every inhale help you find them within your body.
PAUSEโฆ
And now imagine that with every breath out, you release them all to the soft, blue energy at your feet.ย Breathing those thoughts or discomforts down to your feet and out of your body.ย And watch as the soft, blue energy absorbs them all.ย
Breathe in,ย
Breathe out.
Breathe in,

Take one more look inside and release all that unrest on your outbreath.
PAUSEโฆ
Feel the heaviness of your body.ย ย
Feel the lightness of your mind.ย ย
And notice the deep, relaxed comfort you feel.ย

Now see that soft, blue cloud of energy at your feet.ย ย
You can see all your thoughts and feelings of unrest swirling inside of it.ย

Every time you exhale.ย

and let the warm, safe darkness
breeze across your body,
softening it, relaxing it.
LONG PAUSE
And as your body relaxes,
allow your breath to
slow and deepen,
with the warm, safe darkness
gently sinking into your muscles.
LONG PAUSE
And after a few moments,
you can feel the warmthย
easing tension in youย
and you relax even more.
PAUSE
As you breathe again,
gently turn your focus inward,
into that warm, safe darkness
that rolls out from your center.
PAUSE
Now imagine a lightย
rising slowly up in the darkness.
A light that casts hues of
rose, orange and purple
all across the beautiful blackness,
like a magical sunrise.
PAUSE
And the colors become more vivid,
before giving wayย
to a sparkling sunย
that peeks over the horizon.
PAUSE
The sun continues its ascent,
casting amber rays
across any trace of darkness,ย
and lighting upย
a grassy savanna
for you to see.
PAUSE
As you stand atย
the edge of this
flowing grassland,
this African savannah,
you notice a treeย
in the distance,ย
a brown, spindly-arm tree.
PAUSE
And so you walkย
toward the tree
through the tall,ย
golden stalks of grass
that whisper
your name asย
they bend in the breeze.
PAUSE
And as you approach the tree,
you notice a lion,
calm and relaxed,
sitting next to the tree
and nodding for you to come closer.
PAUSE
When you near the tree,
the lion raises his mighty paw,
honoring the strengthย
he sees within you.
PAUSE
A smile forms on your face,
and you nod at the lion,
placing your hand
against Brother Lionโs paw.
PAUSE
Breathe in,ย
and hold your hand strong,
as it touches
the lionโs cushiony paw,
where you can feel strength
flowing between you,ย
steady and strong.
PAUSE
As you bid Brother Lion โgoodbye,โ
you walk through theย
savanna grass again,
hearing it whisper
โStrength, strength, strengthโ
with every step.
PAUSE
Now, imagine seeing a zebra
in the distance,
black and whiteย
against the yellowy grass.
A zebra that beckons youย
to move closer.
PAUSE
As you near the zebra,
she nods and smiles at you,
then kicks upย
on her hind legsย
and brays with joy.
PAUSE
Now, take a moment
and visualize
folding your hands
in โNamasteโ
ย to Sister Zebra's free spirit.
PAUSE
And when the zebra draws close,
you hold her faceย
in your hands,ย
and look eye-to-eye with her.
PAUSE
Together, you and Sister Zebra
feel the freedom
flowing between you,
steady and strong.
PAUSE
And as you bid Sister Zebra โgoodbye,โ
you walk through theย
savanna grass again,
hearing it whisper
โFree, free, freeโ
with every step.
PAUSE
Now take a moment andย
visualize a giraffeย
in the distance,
tall and majestic,
rising above theย
savanna grass.
A giraffe thatย
Invites you to move closer.
PAUSE
As you near the giraffe,
he nods and bends down,
softly smiling,
nuzzling his gentle face
against yours.
PAUSE
And as you stroke
the giraffeโs long neck,
he licks your faceย
with a long, warm tongue.
PAUSE
And, while you touch Brother Giraffe,
you feel the kindness
flowing between you
steady and strong.
PAUSE
You bid Brother Giraffe โgoodbye,โ
and walk through theย
savanna grass again,
hearing it whisper
โKind, kind, kindโ
with every step.
PAUSE
As you keep walkingย
through the savanna grass,ย
the sun kisses your face,
and peace and joyย
flow through you.

A breeze carryingย
the sunโs warmth
brushes by you,
and changes theย
whispers of theย
savanna grass.

So letโs begin by getting into a position thatโs comfortable for you, perhaps youโre sitting in your favorite chair or even lying down.ย
Close your eyes and as you do, let yourself relax deeper into your position,ย
Feeling your eyes get heavier, feeling your arms and your legs get heavier.ย
And imagining your entire body melting as it relaxes,ย
Dropping your shoulders,ย
Softening your belly,
Releasing your jaw.ย ย
And just breathe.

Let your breathing deepen,
Inhaling just a little more with every breath in,
And exhaling just a little longer with every breath out.
