You may say to yourself, “I’m not a controlling person, this isn’t about me.” But the need to control the world around us is a natural part of human nature. We crave control because we think control will bring us certainty, and then that certainty will bring us peace.    But sometimes you don’t get certainty, no matter how much you try. And instead of freaking out about the uncertainty of it all, we should all try and take a deep breath and look at the situation differently. Believe it or not, you do have more options besides controlling an outcome or stressing out because you can’t control the outcome. It doesn’t always feel that way, but it’s true.   In this week’s episode, we’re talking about the real reason you suffer and how to stop. Your need to control the world around you - whether that be your relationships, your employment status, or your job - is causing you unnecessary resistance and keeping you in a perpetual state of suffering.
