I'm often asked about the BEST social media platform. Here's part one of my answer.
In this week's episode:
- What IS the BEST social media platform?
- What's your goal for social media?
- Are you there to serve or to sell?
- The purpose of social media is BEING SOCIAL!
- You must be social on social media in order to be successful, personally or professionally.
- 2.8 billion people are on Facebook.
- Twitter is a great place to have conversations.
- Instagram Reels are seen inside of Instagram stories.
- Pinterest is the "forgotten cousin" of social media, as is Periscope. Don't forget these platforms! (Detailed info in the episode)
- When you're thinking about "best," are you referring to engagement? Followers? Sales?
- If you have a "SELL SELL SELL mindset" as you create social media posts, emails, livestreams, etc., you will not be nearly as successful as when you have the SERVE SERVE SERVE mindset. (Detailed examples in the episode)
- The content you produce is for your audience and you need to keep them and how they will benefit top of mind.
- All social media platforms behave the same way.
- If you give your audience what they want, they will give you ROI.
- Your "sticky audience" will keep coming back for more.
- To get help with your target audience and ROI: bit.ly/talktobonnie
- The 80/20 rule is a MUST
- Online visibility does NOT mean being seen (details int he episode)
- There are multiple playgrounds on Twitter and LinkedIn, four "playgrounds" on Instagram, even more on Facebook.
- Do NOT go against Facebook Terms of Service! (I detail why in the episode)
- Madalyn Sklar's Twitter Chat: https://madalynsklar.com/twittersmarterchat
- It's important to have the proper pixel size for your Pinterest image and to pin onto other peoples' boards, too.

Simply being on the social media platform isn't enough...learn easy and effective strategies to increase listens, views, likes, and shares on social media.
In this week's episode:
- The question I get asked all the time is WHERE...? Where to be on social media, Where to promote your podcast, video, business, etc,
- The actual location doesn't matter--as long as it's where your people are!
- You must know the demographics of your audience on and off of social media.
- Google "social media demographics 2020" for this year's general demographics on each social media platform.
- Look at social media metrics on each of your social media platforms to determine your exact demographics there.
- I have a very different audience on each of my three Instagram accounts: @bonnie.frank, @thevisibilityexpert, @businessfabulouspodcast
- Google Analytics (It's free and easy to install) will show you exactly who comes to your website, who they are, where they come from, their activity on your site, etc.
- I recommend that the time and energy you spend on social media platforms reflect your audience Kajabiand your revenue generated from that platform.
- I always suggest that all business people have a website for their business where they can showcase their products and capture emails so that they can communicate further with their audience OFF of social media. Everything I do for my business is done on Kajabi.
- Only those people who are most active will be seeing your social media posts, but every single one of them will receive your emails.
- Your social media followers may be seeing less of your content right now and much more content about Covid-19, Black Lives Matter, protests, and politics. They must engage (like, love, share, comment, save, archive) with your content to see more of it.
- I detail exactly how you can see fewer ads or fewer of anyone's posts in your social media feeds in the episode.
- You should provide share-worthy content that your audience wants on social media.
- Subscribing to podcasts or a YouTube channel is the EASIEST way to get all of that content. (Note: You can subscribe to Business Fabulous on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify on my podcast page here: https://www.bonnielfrank.com/podcast
- Remind your audience to subscribe and how to listen to your podcast, etc.
- My Social Media Cafe launches July 1: Get on the waitlist here to have access to special bonuses.
- Many people create social media content without considering their audience and what their audience wants, likes, or needs.

Going live is easy, but you've got to do more than that to get folks to watch, listen, and engage with you!
Not all social media platforms are created equal and it's important to understand which ones are right for your brand and your business.
In this week's episode:
- I referred to this report from Sprout Social in this episode.
- The report above details where brands are planning on spending their time and social media dollars vs where consumers are planning to spend their time and dollars on social media.
- Facebook STILL wins. Every time.
- LinkedIn is "B ---> B" (Business to Business)
- The fastest way to find out what's going on in the world is Twitter.
- The fastest way to gain the attention of a brand is to shout them out (particularly in a complaint) on Twitter.
- The fastest way to gain the attention of an influencer or a brand on Instagram is to shout them out on your instastories.
- LinkedIn is a fabulous way to connect with other business owners and find joint venture partnerships.
- Don't forget about YouTube--it's owned by Google!
- The Tik Tok demographic is much younger and may not be your target audience.
- If you're not getting the ROI you want, you may need to change up your content or the social media platform you're using.
- Always deliver the content your target audience wants.
- Are you spending your time where consumers or businesses are spending their time on social media?
- Up to 70% of the number of folks who left Facebook after the "privacy breach," have returned to Facebook and are engaging more than ever in light of the Corinovirus pandemic.
- You are 100% in control of what comes through your social media feeds. (I detail how to do this in the episode)

My life had a lot more anxiety, sleepless nights, and poor health before I started practicing self care. Here are 13 additional self care strategies I use at least once a month. Complete show notes at https://bonnielfrank.com/podcast.
In this week's episode:
- I do not want you to ever take the word "no" or the phrase, "It's not possible" as possible answers in your life or your business.
- Those are not possibilities in my life. (I give detailed examples in the episode)
- When someone tells you "It's impossible" it only means that it's impossible for the person talking...it has nothing to do with YOU, your life, or your business success.
- Everyone I knew said I would fail as a business coach.
- I started (and succeeded) anyway.
- Failure is part of success.
- If you truly want to succeed, you CANNOT accept "No" or "impossible."

- This same piece of content can be used in a multitude of other ways, too (these are listed in the episode).

Being an entrepreneur is no easy task, and that's why the success rate is minimal. In this episode, I get real with a lot of the mental battles I had to overcome in my business.
Note: You may also want to check out episodes 5 and 25 for even more info on mindset.
In this week's episode:
- I asked my Business Fabulous Podcast Instagram followers if they wanted this podcast episode to be personal or profesh...the vote was overwhelmingly "personal."
- Your thoughts and your mindset have a great deal to do with the outcome.
- If you're thinking about failure...you'll likely see failure.
- I began my business five and a half years ago with no startup costs, no formal business training, no encouragement from anyone, no guidance, no desk or office, and zero online followers. I was also raising my young sons at the same time.
- The difference between success and failure is giving up.
- The most successful entrepreneurs are also the ones who don't give up, aren't afraid to try, not opposed to admitting they're wrong, open to new possibilities, and are not always the smartest people in the room.
- It took me 14 months to get a paying client because I was learning everything and DOING EVERYTHING BY MYSELF with no support, encouragement or guidance.
- To get the encouragement, support and guidance I needed, I read a lot of business books and articles, listened to motivational and inspirational speeches, TED talks, and podcasts and surrounded myself with as much positivity as possible. I detail more in the episode.
- I interviewed 25 different coaches (they each gave me one hour of free 1:1 coaching sessions) and hated all of them--that's why I became a coach myself.
- Giving myself breaks and allowing myself the time to feel my feelings has also allowed me to succeed.
- Getting rid of the negative influences in my life also helped.

- Episode 5 Preparing your mindset, your energy and your environment for success in your business

Triggers are things, people, events, situations, colors, music--literally anything--that set off a negative reaction in your mind and sometimes also parts of your body.
Note: This episode was taken from a Facebook Live broadcast and the content is stellar; however, the sound isn't perfect.
In this week's episode:
- Triggers are anything (people, events, dates, songs, etc.) that set you off and affect you--usually negatively. It is a thought, feeling, physical reaction in your body.
- Everyone has triggers.
- Triggers may come and go but, ultimately you determine what/who will allow to trigger you as well as those that won't.
- Identifying your triggers takes focus and reflection, but knowing what triggers you and how to effectively deal with them will improve your productivity.
- You are 100% in control of what goes through your social media feeds.
- Like, comment, share, save, archive posts that you want to see more of in the future.
- Mute accounts (silence for a period of time you choose) that you don't want to see.
- Delete posts that you don't want to see or that trigger you right now.
- Block posts and or accounts that you no longer want to see at all. You can always unblock them in the future.
- When you are triggered, you can ignore the trigger (person, song, event, situation, etc.) but this can be difficult.
- You can remove yourself from the same space that the person, song, etc. is or you can limit the times that you are in the same space.
- Surround yourself with positive people, songs, etc, that will help you to move through your day successfully and soften the effects of the triggers.
- When you are able to identify your triggers, the trigger no longer has as much power--YOU have the power.
- Our energy will go wherever our focus goes.
- Nothing can trigger you unless you allow it to.

You don't need to go to major conferences to be visible online and grow your brand! Here are four simple and proven ways to do it, free, without leaving home.
In this week's episode:
- The number one rule to gaining online visibility is to be where your audience is online. If you're unsure, google "social media demographics" and look at the data for the platforms you enjoy using most.
- Facebook has approximately 2.8 billion people, so your audience is likely on there.
- LinkedIn is all business all the time, so if you have a business you should have a daily presence there.
- Use one or two hashtags for each social media post (up to 30 for Instagram), including a branded hashtag and one topical one.
- You cannot own a hashtag, but you can dominate it.
- The easiest and fastest way to get noticed by experts or others in your industry is to be a helpful audience member in the chat of livestream broadcasts. I detail many ways to do this in the episode including greeting the host(s), taking notes, and posting links mentioned.
- Increase your social media and marketing knowledge as well as your online visibility with the Business fabulous Social Media Cafe. Filled with hundreds of tutorials, helpful videos and downloadable pdfs, this is the go-to for your social media questions 24/7/365! Check it out at bit.ly/socialmediacafe

Figuring out the right or best or most-effective-for-your-audience content to post on social media can be overwhelming! Here are three things that will make it easier for you. Complete show notes at https://bonnielfrank.com/podcast.
If you know these four things, you can be a successful entrepreneur and have a thriving online business.
In this week's episode:
- You must believe you can! You must have the mindset that you really can accomplish what you want.
- I discuss the difference between a consumer mindset and the producer mindset and how each affects the entrepreneur.
- I didn't grow up knowing about entrepreneurship and I was 18 years old before I ever met an entrepreneur.
- I started my business coaching and consulting business at 49 years old with no encouragement, no training, no encouragement, and no start-up money.
- Entrepreneurs have positive mindsets and they simply figure it out.
- You already have all the resources (or the ability to get resources) that you need to be a successful entrepreneur.
- Use Google and YouTube to research what you need to know.
- I learned to edit podcasts through YouTube video tutorials and asking other podcasters questions.
- Ask your friends, family, and mentors for help or to the answers to your questions.
- Enter contests! You may win some great tech or other resources you can use!
- Like Chris Krinitsos says, "Start Ugly!" Your website won't be absolutely perfect, your first podcast episode won't have stellar sound, but it's okay--just start!
- My first podcast episode was actually recorded through the microphone inside my Mac Book...(I didn't realize my mic wasn't working) and I kept it that way as a learning tool to show the sound difference.
- I had two downloads in my first month--and I'm pretty sure they were both me.
- I started livestreaming with my iPhone and my mic was the one on my Apple earbuds. I monetized hundreds of livestreams with only that equipment before I bought any equipment.
- The first equipment I purchased totaled $!50.00: a Blue Yeti mic and pro lighting. I bought them with Black Friday specials.
Mentioned in this episode:
- Start Ugly by Chris Krimitsos
- Blue Yeti microphone
- Cowboy Lighting Kit
- Julia Childs, The French Chef

There are three crucial things that your social media accounts must have in order to attract, compel and convert your online followers and increase online business sales.
In this week's episode:
- Your social media profile (both on personal accounts and business accounts!) must have a current profile photo.
- Your profile does not have to include a professional headshot--but it needs to be professional enough.
- Lead with whatever you're known for and make sure the info. is current.
- Make sure that all of your content (text, image, video, livestream, story, etc.) is valuable information that your audience wants.
- To identify your target audience, feel free to reach out with a DM on social media or email me at listener@bonnielfrank.com.
- You must know your Ideal Client Avatar in order to know your target audience.
- The more you engage on social media, the more you're training the algorithm that you want to see more of that person's content.
- Poll your audience in a Facebook post or Facebook or Instagram story to find out what they want you to do more or less of online.
- Ask your audience on a livestream or do a quiz on Instagram stories to find out what your audience wants.
- Survey your audience via a survey link that you provide them through email.
- Include YOU in each of your social media posts. You should seem the same on and off of social media, in your photos and in person, etc.
- People buy from you because OF you.
- All of my "tools of the trade" (business, podcasting, livestreaming and self care) can be found on my website: https://www.bonnielfrank.com/pages/tools.

We're often told that it's important to be "transparent" and "authentic" online, but how much is too much to share on social media? We answer this and more on this episode of the Business Fabulous podcast.

- Why Bonnie's on so many social media platforms.
- How many social media platforms YOU should be on.
- Why I get over 27,000 Pinterest views every month.
- What I do and do not share on social media and why.

- What I emphasize on my social media posts, and podcast and livestreams.
- What I share from events, conferences, and when I'm out and about
- What types of behind-the-scenes I share
- What you HAVE to share on social media

When you understand the nuances of Instagram's four distinct parts, you can easily grow your online presence and impact there.
In this week's episode:
- There are four distinct parts of Instagram: Feed, Live, Stories, IGTV.
- In order to get the analytics (to see what's working best for your audience) on all of your posts, you must have a business account. I detail how to do this in the episode.
- Instagram is a hashtag game!
- You can have up to 30 hashtags in any IG feed post. Any more than that and none of the hashtags will be seen.
- I provide helpful hashtag tools below! (scroll down to "Mentioned in this episode)
- The "Swipe Up" feature in the feed is for accounts that have 10,000 followers or more.
- IGTV videos can be 10 minutes long with less than 10,000 followers and up to an hour in length with 10,000 or more followers.
- Instagram live broadcasts can be up to one hour long and disappear in 24 hours.
- Instagram stories (my favorite!) can have video clips of 15 seconds or less per story.
- Instagram will auto-cut (into 15-second segments) any video for you if the video is less than 60 seconds.
- For longer videos, you need to use a third-party app like Cut Story.
- I detail exactly how to increase your following with IG stories in this episode as well as explain all the necessary features.
Mentioned in this episode:
- Hashtagify (Created for Twitter, but I've used it for Instagram)
- Focal Mark for iOS and Focal Mark for Android
- Display Purposes
- All-Hashtag.com
- Cut Story for iOS

With about 2.5 billion active daily users, Facebook is the most used social media platform available today. If you have a business, it's likely that your customers are on Facebook. Starting off our social media series, this episode is all about Facebook and the many ways you can increase your online visibility there.
In this week's episode:
- Everything on Facebook begins with your personal account, also known as your "profile.
- "Friending" people strategically on Facebook allows you to be tagged and tag them in posts on Facebook, easily connect via Messenger and more.
- Your business account on Facebook is referred to as your "page."
- Social media platforms are being abused and utilized as dating apps--do NOT do this!
- You can post whatever you want on Facebook as long as it doesn't violate the platform's terms of service, but I suggest that everything you post be "brand-friendly."
- Your profile and page photos should be different.
- You can sell directly from your page and use any of the six available buttons to engage visitors, build your list and more (details in the episode).
- People DO read Facebook business page reviews.
- You should provide at least one way for people to contact you on your profile and page and all the information there should be up-to-date.
- You need a business page to run ads on Facebook.
- Facebook groups have several roles: creator, admin, moderator or member.
- I invite you to join my Business Fabulous Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bebusinessfabulous
- There are three different types of Facebook groups (details in the episode).
- I detail multiple ways that tagging someone in/out of groups can help increase your online visibility.
- Events, Watch Parties and Premiers are other ways to be found on Facebook.
This week's challenge:
Go through your Facebook profile and page and make sure that you have current information as well as multiple ways for your followers to connect with you.

In this weeks' episode:
- Business Fabulous podcast topics = Social media, marketing, and increasing online visibility to grow your business
- Work Your podcast topics = the intersection of podcasting. We choose a different topic each week and discuss it fro those two points of view.
- Business Fabulous podcast will have a future social media series and devote several episodes entirely to social media--a different episode will be devoted solely to one social media platform I use.
- The first in the series will be next week and it will cover Facebook.
- A website and a strong online presence are necessary today, regardless of the business you have. YOU are your brand and the face behind your business.
- People will buy from you because OF YOU. Be your own brand.
- You should have business social media accounts so that you can get the analytics on how each post resonated with your audience.
- Instagram stories can automatically be sent to Facebook stories with no more effort (I discuss how to set this up in the episode)
- Facebook is putting much more emphasis on Facebook stories now (much more about this next week!)
- Make your social media posts stand out with emojis, color, gifs, video, varied sizes of text, different fonts, etc.
- Your social media posts must contain valuable and meaningful information specifically for your audience and must capture their attention or they won't notice it in their feed.
- LinkedIn is a phenomenal place to connect with other business people and to show your professional expertise.

In this weeks' episode:
- Growing a business can be overwhelming and knowing when you're ready to re-invest in your business, buy tech, and level up is very confusing.
- You can be inundated with ads and offers and things "you can't live without" in your social media feeds.
- People told me that I had to have professional headshots and loads of professional equipment when I started my business with livestreaming.
- I started livestreaming with my Apple earbuds (that was my microphone) and my cell phone.
- I did not have any professional microphones or lighting equipment until I'd already been making money from my livestreams for about a year and a half and about 1,000 live broadcasts.
- I just recently had my first professional photoshoot. For the first five years of my business, all of my photos were selfies.
- I level up when I know that NOT doing so is keeping my business from moving forward.
- Pro lighting and microphones will not make the difference in your business--YOU make the difference.
- The value you bring to your audience and the personal connections you make with them is what will really make your business grow.
- You must have foundational pieces of your business in place before you ever scale.
Mentioned in this episode:
- Start Ugly by Chris Krimitsos
- Natalie Jennings photography
- Podfest podcasting conference
- Rodecaster Pro production studio
- Kajabi
- Blue Yeti microphone (livestreams or podcasts)
- Rode microphone (for my podcasts at home)
- ATR 2005 handheld dynamic microphone (for mobile interviews)
- Apple earbuds
- Rode Smart Lav + lapel microphone

On any given day, week, month...growing your business can be overwhelming, confusing, take much more time than you thought and cost you more money.
But leading with gratitude will change all of that.
At least how you walk through each day and deal with it--and THAT is the beauty of gratitude.
For more than a year, I have started each day with an entry in my gratitude journal that begins, "I'm grateful for..." and by spending five minutes being grateful, everything in my business changed, and my business grew.

- Traveling, podcasting and speaking more from stages are things that have increased and ramped up my business in the past several months.
- I archived two Facebook groups (explanation in the episode)
- It's both sad and exciting when your business grows because, inevitably, you will no longer have relationships with all of the people you once did.
- You are 100% in control of what you see in your social media feeds--positive and negative.
- You can block, delete, and mute your social media followers if you do not want to see their content.
- Some people truly don't want to grow a successful business.
- When your interests change, you may no longer be interested in following the same people on social media.
- If you do not engage (like, comment, share) people on social media, you are training that platform's algorithm that you are no longer interested in seeing that content.

In this weeks' episode:
- It took me 14 months to land a paying client because I was doing everything myself--without any support.
- I built my own brand from scratch and it was very overwhelming and completely different from being a lifestyle blogger.
- My first two courses I created didn't sell, not because they weren't; good, but because I didn't know who to market them to.
- Coaching, mentors and online courses are readily available on social media--many times for free.
- Think carefully about what you're looking for and the very best place to find it before you begin your online research.
- Using keywords can help you reduce the amount of time you spend researching.
- Inspirational and motivational quotes and social media posts really helped encourage me as I was starting my business.
- Local lecture series in your area, webinars, online groups, and podcasts are also helpful.
- I have a GREAT video on how to find podcasts inside my Business Fabulous Facebook group. The video is here.
- Facebook has public, closed/private groups and secret groups. (Differences detailed in this episode)
- The true value of online courses cannot be guaranteed by the price level of the online course.
- Coaching and consultants are readily available, as well. I suggest that you interview each of the ones you're considering.
- Coaches frequently offer free consultations or coaching.
- I got one hour of free coaching from 25 different coaches when I began my business--This was how I "interviewed" them. I thought they were horrible so I became a coach myself!
- Coaching can be 1:1 and group--Group coaching is always less expensive per session.
- Doors for my group coaching program, The Business Fabulous Academy, open November 11.
- You can win a free membership in my Business Fabulous Academy here. (This offer is good through November 11, 2019).
- Masterminds are different from group coaching programs, much smaller and usually far more expensive.
- Live Events are conferences are phenomenal ways to get on the radar of your industry's top leaders and get incredible information and resources that can grow your business.
- Attending live events and conferences may be a tax write-off for your business (Plase consult your CPA).

- I went to the conference five days in advance so I could meet speakers and attendees before the conference started. <-- Strategic move

In this weeks' episode:
- I track all of my "numbers" (my analytics) each week. I track the number of social media followers I have on each platform, subscribers, connections, downloads, website traffic, and more so that I can see progress, growth, patterns, etc.
- I knew I'd double my podcast downloads in September. I ended up tripling them, and I attribute this growth to eight things I strategically did. I detail them below.
- I have a consistent schedule for my podcast. It's a weekly podcast and every six episodes, I publish a bonus episode.
- My podcast episodes average approximately 20 minutes in length and I have included how quick the episodes are in the tagline of my intro.
- My podcast is part of my "Business Fabulous" brand, which makes sense with who I am and what I value.
- All of the topics I discuss on my podcast fall under my three podcast pillars (listed in my intro) and I know these are what my audience wants.
- I consistently post valuable, compelling content that my audience wants and enjoys on each of my social media platforms at least twice a day, every day.
- I engage with my followers on social media. (I detail how I do this in the podcast).
- I livestreamed several (less than half) of my first 15 episodes and stripped the audio from it to create the actual podcast.
- Speaking at events and engaging with other speakers has also helped.
This week's CHALLENGE:
Try one of these eight strategies to grow your social media, blog readership, podcast downloads or some other area of your online presence. These same strategies will work for a large range of things.

In this weeks' episode:
- Attention and time are being dwindled dramatically each day--You can attract, compel and convert your readers with great blog posts.
- Your compelling title must contain keywords and descriptive phrases
- Your topic must be relevant (and being searched!) for your target audience, whether it's evergreen content or not.
- YouTube, Twitter, Amazon are great places to search for what your audience is searching. (More places to search are listed in the episode).
- Your blog post must give value to your ideal reader and your target audience! If it's not valuable to them, it's not valuable.
- Make sure the blog post images (photos, icons, etc.) are captivating.
- Many of your readers will choose to read based on the image and NOT the title of your blog post.
- The links you have on your blog must be relevant, valuable, and contain workable links. (Additional Pinterest info. is in the episode).
- Put a "piece of YOU" in each blog post. The blog post should bleed your brand.
- Each blog post should contain at least one Call to Action that is relevant to the topic and to your audience. This does NOT have to be at the very end of the post. (I provide many examples in the episode).
- You need to let people know where they can "get more" of you! Are you speaking at an event? Hosting a meetup? Creating a program for them?
- The more you of "you" that you provide freely, the more your audience will buy your products, programs, and services.
This week's CHALLENGE:
Go through one of your blog posts and make sure it contains all of the epic blog post components I detail in this episode. Does it need some updating? Have you checked all of the links to make certain they aren't' broken?

In this weeks' episode:
- Your website is the place where you provide the most amount of value to your target audience.
- The longer people are on your website, the more likely they are to consume your content and opt in for your freebies
- It's important to attract, compel and convert your website visitors.
- You have 3-5 seconds to convince a website visitor to stay on your website and consume content.
- When they leave your website, they "bounce" off it.
- Bounce Rate = a percentage; the frequency of someone leaving your website from the landing page without browsing any further.
- Neil Patel reports the average bounce rate is 40.5% but there are different types of bounce rates
- Different industries, websites, particular landing pages have very different acceptable bounce rates.
- It's important to know your website's bounce rates.
- I provide a case study of my content consumption on two very different websites.
- Pop ups can keep people on your website longer and build your list.
- You should have multiple opt in experiences on your website, ideally at least one per page on your website.
This week's CHALLENGE:
Take a look at your bounce rate and your customer behavior flow on your Google Analytics. Looking at this can really enhance your audience's website experience, the amount of time they spend on your website, the content they consume, and grow your list!

In this episode, I give you five simple strategies to get raving fans (that free advertising!) and increase sales on social media.
Remember to sign up for a free 20-minute consultation to grow your business here or monetize your podcast here.
Feel free to give me feedback on this or any episode at listener@bonnielfrank.com.
The #1 reason people have trouble getting raving fans and increasing sales is that they're trying to "do business" on personal social media accounts.
- Businesses use business accounts on social media.
- Business accounts offer free metrics (a.k.a. Analytics and Insights) that show you exactly who consumes your content, when they consume it, which posts drive the most traffic and much more!
- It's easy to create business accounts or change a personal account to a business account (I detail how in the episode).
You need to provide Calls to Action (CTAs).
- CTAs are opportunities for your audience to connect with you and "get more" of you through things like free content, a consultation, joining a Facebook group, purchasing your products.
- I give two free CTAs in the beginning of the episode: Sign up for a free 20-minute consultation to grow your business and monetize your podcast
- I then offer another free CTA to join my free Facebook group for more help and loads of free content to grow your business and your podcast.
- CTAs drive traffic to your website and then your Google Analytics provides you the information about who visits your website, where they come from (search, direct link, podcast, social media, referral, ad, etc.), how they consume the content and more.
- CTAs help you grow your email list, too.
You need to provide the copy that compels your target audience to consume your content and take action on your CTAs.
- You will know exactly what to say, how to say it and where to post when you truly know your Ideal Client Avatar (ICA) and Ideal Podcast Listener (IPL)
- If your podcast isn't a hobby, your ICA and IPL are the same people.
- What words, verbs, phrases are you using?
- Shorter vs. longer social media posts
- Single Image vs. Carousel
- Pre-produced video vs. Livestream
- Polls vs. Questions in your stories
You need to know your target audience's behaviors and post on social media when they're on social media.
- Google Analytics and your social media insights will give you this information.
- I detail how to do this in the episode.
- Schedule your social media posts with Buffer, Hootsuite, Post Planner, etc.
Transparency vs. Authenticity
- Transparency: Easy to perceive, easy to detect your point of view, what you're like, etc.
- You do NOT need to disclose your income in order to be "transparent."
- Authenticity: Genuine, original, how YOU are being YOU.
- Consistent branding, vibe, and content is part of authenticity.
- Your authenticity will attract your target audience (as long as you know your ICA and IPL)
- You need to be able to attract your target audience and convert them organically; putting ad spend behind content does not automatically mean you'll attract and convert your target audience.
This week's CHALLENGE: Choose one of the five simple strategies I detail in this episode to really reach out to your audience and deliver value, get raving fans who advertise for you and increase your sales. It's much easier to increase sales when you're reaching exactly who you want to reach online.

In this episode, I detail five strategies you can use to organically grow your online visibility, social media reach, and impact. You don't need ads to grow your business!
Feel free to give me feedback on this or any episode at listener@bonnielfrank.com.
Organic Reach: You (the content creator) is not putting ad spend behind the content; You aren't paying for more people to be able to see and consume that content. When you post something on social media and that post is not an ad, it is getting organic reach--it is reaching an audience organically.
Online Visibility: You are getting noticed, you're being remembered, you are top-of-mind in terms of what you do and what you have to offer...and when they're ready to pay for something that you do.
Impact: Having a strong effect on someone or something; Changing people's lives.
Marketing: Speaking to a specific audience (in the way that they can hear) to deliver a specific message for a specific purpose.
Relationship Marketing: Leading with service and forming a relationship with the audience. (I detail several ways to do this in the episode)
- You have 100% control over what you see in your social media feeds and what comes through your email--You may need to delete, mute, block people, events or accounts so that you're seeing what you want to see.
- Algorithms will always exist on social media
- Helpful Hack: To keep people/accounts in your feed, engage with the posts you see by liking, commenting, sharing; This way, you are training the algorithm that THIS content is what you want to see.
- I detail the strategies below, with examples, in the episode
Five Organic Strategies To Grow Your Online Visibility, Reach, Impact:
- Stay true to your WHY
- Know Your Ideal Client Avatar (ICA) - That one person who has all the qualities you're looking for in a dream client
- Clear Branding
- Relationship Marketing
- Relevant Hashtags, Strategic Hashtags, Invisible Hashtags

In this episode, I detail how terrified I was to start the Business Fabulous podcast. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and I experienced a lot of anxiety, including resistance, ego, failure, and podfading.
Feel free to give me feedback on this or any episode at listener@bonnielfrank.com.
Resistance: The refusal to accept or comply with something; the attempt to prevent something by action or argument.
Ego: The part inside of you that "keeps you safe" and keeps you away from harm, fear, and failure.
Podfading: When someone's podcast disappears because they've quit. When a person stops producing episodes for their podcast, they have "podfaded."
- When someone is about to grow personally and/or professionally, they will often experience resistance.
- I experienced many symptoms of resistance in the months before I was able to start my podcast including anxiety, chest pains, sweating, increased periods of being distracted, less ability to focus, and procrastination.
- To combat my resistance, I was very intentional and I did many things including yoga, journaling, meditation and worked on bettering my sleep hygiene.
- I also consulted friends (bad choice) and several experienced and expert podcasters (great choice)
- I define the term "sleep hygiene" and describe how I amped up mine.
- The vast majority of entrepreneurs quit within their first five years of business.

Today on the podcast, we discuss Outsourcing: Hiring your team, social media managers and more...getting the help you need to grow and scale your business.
"Outsourcing" is allowing other people or agencies to take care of business tasks for you such as a virtual assistant, social media manager, bookkeeping, marketing funnels, etc.
- No one can do everything that needs to be done and efficiently grow and scale her business, because you end up spending a lot of time doing tasks that don't directly earn you money such as creating graphics, posting on social media, and editing podcasts.
- RESEARCH you needs/wants
- RESEARCH, interview, vet different people that you may want to hire
- Busywork is not a money-making activity
- Courses may not teach you what you need to do tasks well
- Systems are crucial for a well-run business
- The first two episodes of my podcast are before a good mic and a system
- Done is better than perfect.
- I hired a professional for my podcast intro off Fiverr
- I hired a social media manager from a Facebook group
- All VAs cannot specialize in everything--hire carefully
- I detail my social media manager's beginning duties
- I detail how I decided what to outsource first and how I hired my social media manager
