In the early hours of August 2nd 1989, 26-year-old Doreen Jack, her husband Ronnie, and their two young sons, Russell, nine, and Ryan, four, mysteriously vanished from their Burns Lake home in the middle of the night after an unidentified man offered Doreen and Ronnie two-weeks work at a nearby logging camp. The Jack family were struggling financially, and jumped at the chance, however, after they packed up their belongings and left Burns Lake in the company of the unknown man, the family of four were never seen or heard from again.
