Sahibzada Ajit Singh (17) and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh (14) attained martyrdom on 8 Poh, 1704 in the battle of Chamkaur. Hakeem Allah Yaar Khan Jogi penned the elegy named “Ganj-e- Shaheedan” to describe the departure, brave fighting, and deaths of the two Sahibzadas. 8 ਪੋਹ , 1704 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (17) ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ (14) ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ। ਅਜ਼ੀਮ ਕਵੀ ਹਕੀਮ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਯਾਰ ਖਾਨ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ “ਗੰਜ-ਏ-ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ” ਨਾਮਕ ਮਰਸੀਏ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੂਚ, ਜੰਗ ਲੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਕਮਾਲ ਦੇ ਅਲੰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਜੀ ਹੈ। Enjoyed the narration?
