Leen, a freelance facilitator and deep democracy trainer, discussed her journey spanning over 20 years in creating optimal spaces in education and her transition to the decentralized community at AllForClimate DAO.Leen's Journey: Creating Optimal SpacesLeen's commitment to creating optimal spaces in education is evident from her extensive experience. For a decade, while working for Artesis Plantijn University College, she developed a model for interactive and inclusive teaching, focusing on Universal Design for Learning and Visible Learning principles. Leen's expertise encompasses designing workshops, policy advising, process coaching for teams, and organizing conferences.Deep Democracy and Inclusive LeadershipLeen's journey took a significant turn in 2019 when she completed all four levels of Deep Democracy facilitation training. AllForClimate DAO actively participated in Gitcoin GR15 Climate, offering different grants, including the new Proof of Climate Action (POCA) and the Artists For Climate grant. Leen shared the DAO's focus on fostering an intergenerational learning community, enabling young contributors to gain confidence and experience in the web3 x social impact space.Future Directions: Building the Greenpeace for the 21st CenturyAs Leen outlined future goals, it became clear that AllForClimate DAO is on a mission to build a decentralized, transparent, and open platform for everyone to contribute - envisioning the new Greenpeace for the 21st century. The DAO plans to create a directory of climate justice-related crypto projects and DAOs, offer training to individuals keen on the intersection of crypto and climate, and develop a software library to address common issues unmet by other DAOs.Contributing to a Regenerative FutureLeen Schelfhout's insights into AllForClimate DAO paint a picture of a dynamic and inclusive community committed to regenerative practices.
