Over 70 million Americans are credit invisible which leads to financial exclusion and exorbitant interest rates. African Americans and other minorities are predominantly impacted and this issue has only grown with the pandemic.  Where you come from, the color of your skin, and your financial identity should not determine where you end up in life. This is beginning to change due to platforms like Esusu, the credit building app that gives renters credit for making monthly payments.  Esusu focuses on unleashing the power of data to bridge the racial wealth gap. This app has the potential to help approximately 45 million Americans, who are currently marginalized from formally entering the financial system. We spoke with Esusu cofounders Abbey Wemimo and Samir Goel to chat about the impact of Esusu and how their business is helping both renters and property managers during the current economic crisis.
