Ebru Özdemir is the Chairwoman of Limak Holdings, including the investment arm LimakInvestments. Since taking up this position in 2007, under her leadership, Limak Investments hasexpanded operations in the infrastructure and energy sectors, and it provides services in energygeneration, distribution, sales and trading. Ebru Özdemir has over 15 years of experience in project financing and development, as well aspublic-private partnerships projects. Her expertise led to her election as a member of thebusiness advisory board of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Public-PrivatePartnerships in 2014. In 2016 Ebru Özdemir founded the Limak Education Culture and Health Foundation. The LimakFoundation brings all the philanthropic and social projects of Limak Holding under one roof,ensuring their effective continuity. Ebru Özdemir is especially passionate about theentrepreneurship and girls’ education work of the Limak Foundation. One of the projectsspearheaded by Ms Özdemir aims to increase women’s participation and access in the field ofengineering and has so far been active in Turkey, Kuwait and Senegal, and has been supported bythe United Nations Development Programme. Ms. Özdemir’s commitment to gender inclusivitydrove her to co-found the 30 Percent Club, a platform aimed to develop a diverse and gender balancedpool of talent for multi-industry businesses in Turkey. As part of the Limak Foundation, Ms. Özdemir developed the Limak Philharmonic Orchestrawhich interprets and introduces Turkish music to a global audience. Ebru’s passion for art is alsoreflected through her involvement with Tate Modern in London where she is part of the MiddleEast and North Africa Acquisitions Committee. Ebru Özdemir holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Bogazici University in Turkey and an MBA inInternational Business and Finance from Fordham University in the US.
