Winter is the season of stark, beautiful contrasts and the shorter days and cooler weather allow for quiet time and reflection.  This meditative visualization embodies the spirit of the season. Yule predates the Christmas holiday by thousands of years. Linguists suggest the name Yule originates from the Anglo-Saxon word “Iul,” which means wheel and so consequently draws a link to the wheel figured in the Celtic calendar. In the Norse culture, “Jul” refers to the god, Odin, who was celebrated throughout Yule as well.
