We're often told to go with our gut feelings or use our intuition. But what's the science behind it and how can we actually improve our mental health by what we put into our bodies? Joining Kate on the podcast this week is Annie Breen. Annie is a Nutritional Therapist, NLP Practitioner and wellness and energy coach for mums. As a cheerleader for mothers, she helps exhausted mothers who are done with quick-fix solutions that don't work, to mother themselves from the inside out so they can restore their vitality and feel good in their own skin. Annie supports mothers in a holistic whole-body approach:  mind, body and soul. She is also a gut-brain expert and we talk about this a lot - there is a reason why the gut is called the second brain and we delve into this in-depth during our conversation. If you've ever doubted the connection between our brains and bodies, you won't after this conversation. We talk about how stress is one of our biggest health crises right now, and we have to empower ourselves to take back control of our own lives in order to feel healthier.  We also discuss how we can improve our immune system through what we put in our bodies, as well as how we look after our emotional health.  And as forgiveness is such a big topic for me at the moment, we delve into how healing our past pain and resolving resentment, can have a hugely positive impact on both our mental and physical health.
