The term was coined in the ’70s and was considered “compassion fatigue,” mostly referring to those with careers helping others, like teachers or therapists. Now the term is more widespread.Identify the physical and mental signs of burnout.People have varying levels of burnout awareness. Some are sensitive to when they are mentally fatigued, and others only realize it once they experience a major health event.Emily explains brainwave states and the levels of awareness, including delta, alpha, and theta, and their relationship to our mental well-being. A catastrophic event like war (and even Covid!) puts people in survival mode, which can be a dangerous precursor to burnout if you don’t know how to regulate your nervous system. Samantha and Emily discuss things you can do for energy management and how we can influence the space rather than the space influence us.Emily explains how she can help shift and transform energy for those who can’t access it on their own. She shares tools to get started with self-awareness, like journaling, and talks about meditation techniques/grounding techniques. If we’re not attuned to our body, we can’t access our spiritual power and energy. The two discuss “flow” as being an optimal state.
