Living with metastatic breast cancer involves navigating layered trauma: the personal histories we carry, the emotional shock of a metastatic diagnosis, and the ongoing stress of treatment, uncertainty, and systemic barriers to care. Join us for a facilitated panel discussion exploring how past trauma, medical trauma, and barriers to care impact those living with metastatic breast cancer. About the speakers Dawnovise N. Fowler, PhD, is a social worker and public health professional who had breast cancer and is dedicated to advancing trauma-informed care for individuals affected by the disease. She is the founder of The Vow of Wellness, LLC, an organization committed to providing meaningful support to people with breast cancer and the healthcare professionals who serve them. Mona Ellakany is dedicated to sharing her lived experience through storytelling and moderating webinars and educational programs. A pharmacist, she takes great joy and pride in serving patients and providing excellent care. Atiba Page is an inclusion and culture partner at Bristol Myers Squibb in Princeton, N.J., where she brings her experience in inclusion, culture, and talent strategy from roles at organizations like Johnson & Johnson.
