Science, tech, engineering and medicine have been careers that have been notoriously lacking in diversity, especially when it comes to the Latino community. There are cultural, economic and systemic reasons for it, but the important thing is - what's being done to fix it? Joining us in this episode is Dr. Laura Castillo-Page who leads the diversity and inclusion department for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and she shares with us what it takes to level the playing field for our communities to grow in these industries and why diversity in the science fields it's so important.
